Chris was born in raised in the heart of the rust belt, Youngstown, Ohio. He is a life-long fitness follower playing ice hockey, wrestling, football, and boxing growing up. Chris went on to coach youth hockey and wrestling for a period of time. He also is a certified boxing trainer. Chris graduated from the University of Akron Police Academy in 2009 and has been an American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer since 2008. His passion has always been to help people of all fitness levels feel welcome inside the fitness community. It wasn’t until 2011 that he discovered CrossFit while working as a personal training manager at a global gym. It was right then he realized how passionate people become towards CrossFit so quickly. Since then Chris has been very passionate about one on one and group training. He believes strongly that there is a fitness program for anyone.
Through the years he has been able to work with people with severe osteoarthritis, spinal disc issues, and bone and joint rehabilitation. He also has experience with fitness beginners, average athletes, and competitive athletes. Chris also worked as a rehab technician and a case manager in a physical medicine clinic. Here, he worked directly with medical doctors, chiropractors, and neurologists to help diagnose and treat various neuromuscular conditions. Chris’s outlook about helping others to make lifestyle changes is very positive. He takes great pride in motivating others to achieve their goals, not only in the gym, but in their everyday lives.
